ST. MARTIN'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH

Gospel Study Invitation:  Our local "Triangle Chapter" of the Order of St. Luke is offering an opportunity to study the 26 Gospel accounts of Jesus' healings. This will start with two parallel sessions, afternoon and evening of May 22nd at the Wmbg. United Methodist Church. The full course of monthly meetings will be completed by December, taking July and August off. It requires the purchase of a study book, which provides the self-study outline needed for the group discussions that follow each month. For more info, contact David Benedict, OSL Chaplain at 258-5893 or dsbenedict@cox.net

Friends in Christ,

Give rest, O Christ, to your servant with your saints,
Where sorrow and pain are no more,
Neither sighing, but life everlasting.

Friends in Christ,
Today, we give thanks for the life of Wanda Parsons, who died yesterday after a long illness.  Wanda came to us fairly recently after a lifetime of participation at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Gallipolis, Ohio.  Her funeral service will be Saturday, January 28, at 1 p.m. at Nelsen’s Funeral Home, followed by the committal service at Williamsburg Memorial Park.  Special thanks go to our pastoral care associates who cared for Wanda.  We offer our prayers for God’s comfort and sustaining strength for Wanda’s daughter Mary and her husband Larry Martin.

Give rest, O Christ, to your servant with your saints,
Where sorrow and pain are no more,
Neither sighing, but life everlasting.

This Saturday is our regular monthly OSL meeting.  We will meet at St. Martin's 10:00 - 11:30.  This is an important organizational meeting to make further plans for our healing conference in March.  David will bring us up-to-date on where our conference will be held.  Nancy and Michael Sullivan will be inducted into the Order of St. Luke.  Carol will lead us in our devotion.
