Cross-Shattered Christ
This blog is intended to be the hub of a community conversation about the book Cross-Shattered Christ, by Stanley Hauerwas. St. Martin’s Episcopal Church is offering this book as its Lenten book study. We encourage those inside and outside of the St. Martin’s community to participate, but ask that any comments posted be respectful and appropriate. All comments will be evaluated for respectful language before posting; however, participants should not expect that their posting will be read for pastoral responses. If you specifically would like a response from the clergy, please email one of them directly. rector@stmartinswmbg.org or clay@stmartinswmbg.org or ann@stmartinswmbg.org .
Guide to using the discussion questions:
The questions may be used however you wish. Some suggestions include a book study group, journaling, or responding online through this blog. Be encouraged to use as little or much as is useful to you this Lent. Three questions are provided for each chapter, not because you need to answer three but so that you can choose the question that has the most traction for you. If you’re using the online blog, feel free to propose a question for discussion different than the ones listed.
