                                                                      Rev. Shirley and her husband Earnest are excited to announce the release of their graphic translation of the biblical books of Jonah, Esther and Amos in The Unlikely Chosen.  This book is designed for young people of any age (even adults!) and offers study guide questions to equip any youth leader, parent or curious teen.  Available now from Church Publishing or your favorite bookseller.

                                                                      Christian Education Director
                                                                      The Director of Christian Education is responsible for educational programs for all ages. Working with the Spiritual Formation Commission, the D.C.E. helps
                                                                      design and staff Sunday School for children from preschool through high school. The D.C.E. also helps find topics and teachers for Adult Forums and
                                                                      evening programs for Lent and Advent, staffs safe childcare during worship services and parish meetings, and designs intergenerational events throughout the year that will bring together worshipers from the three Sunday services.

                                                                      Phaedra McNorton

                                                                      Music Director
                                                                      Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Phaedra McNorton has been living in the Hampton Roads area for the last five years. A graduate of the New England Conservatory in Boston, Phaedra’s professional engagements have ranged from Opera to Musical Theatre. In 1999, Phaedra sang under the baton of Eduardo Müller of the Metropolitan Opera in the role of Agilea in Lucca, Italy. Other professional engagements include soloist for the AARP conventions at Chicago Symphony Hall and Nellis Airforce Base in Las Vegas. In 2001,  Phaedra understudied the role of Emma under Sylvia Rhyne in Jekyll & Hyde at Downtown Cabaret Theatre in Bridgeport. Phaedra was also the Vocal Director at Busch Gardens where she started out as a performer. and then was responsible for casting and rehearsing all mainstage shows.  Currently Phaedra is employed part-time at St. Martin's and also gives music lessons to various individuals and groups.
