Special Statement Regarding Services at St. Martin's
After receiving several reports of a musty smell in the sanctuary, The Buildings and Grounds Committee decided to employ the services of an Environmental Inspector. The Inspector found that there is indeed a mold problem in the sanctuary. The Inspector then recommended that we implement a plan to clean the sanctuary and replace ductwork that is the source of the mold. This process will necessitate moving all church services to Miles Hall while the cleaning takes place. This move will be effective immediately, including the Wednesday Healing Eucharist scheduled for tomorrow at 12 pm. This will also mean that the instructional Eucharist scheduled for tonight will be rescheduled for a later date. It is important for all of you to know that the sanctuary is safe to enter. It is also important for you to know that we are moving the services because we want the congregation to be able to participate without discomfort. Please be patient during this time of wandering in the desert (I’m not actually sure Miles Hall would qualify as a desert- but, you understand my point), because working together, we will ultimately end up with a more beautiful facility!
